The Orange brand from France Telecom eyeing the Moroccan operator Meditel, according to the weekly News Morocco. The French-language magazine said that discussions between Orange and holders Meditel, private groups and Moroccan FinanceCom CDG have reached an advanced stage.

Orange covets, according to the weekly, 40% stake in Meditel, an operation that could cost the French 650 million euros. The French operator has simply told Reuters "confirm [ing] his interest in the Moroccan market, but could not say for now.
